EKT Engineering Knowledge Test is conducted along with AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) for the entrance in technical branch of IAF as an officer. EKT tests the basic knowledge of candidates applying for Aeronautical Engineering Courses. EKT is grounded at pre final year knowledge level. EKT has two parts namely

Part-A : General Engineering (40 questions)

Part-B : Specialised Paper (35 questions)

General engineering part is based on the topics that are common to multiple branches of engineering. Whereas, specialised part is based on the knowledge of the discipline of the candidate’s degree.  These disciplines are Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering and Computer Engineering.

  1. Normally 3 months of advance study will be sufficient for the preparation, but if you re cutting on time than prepare only important topics since here you dont have to  prepare complete syllabus to clear the exam.
  2. First of all make a proper strategy before starting preparation of the examination.
  3. You have to choose the subject and study as per the syllabus mentioned for your EKT Stream.
