The Annual Synergy Conference 2025, organized by the Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF), took place at the Western Command headquarters in Chandimandir, focusing on reinforcing cooperation and ensuring integrated border security. With the theme “Ever Westwards,” this important gathering saw participation from senior officials including Sh Satish S Khandare, Additional Director General of Headquarters Special Directorate General BSF (Western Command), and delegates from the Punjab and Jammu Frontiers.
The conference emphasized enhancing joint operational coordination, particularly in light of the recent Operation Sindoor, which underscored the necessity of synchronized responses in high-threat circumstances. Key discussions revolved around improving integrated communication systems, establishing joint logistics frameworks, and enhancing counter-drone capabilities to better address emerging security challenges.
Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, General Officer Commanding of the Western Command, articulated the strategic importance of fostering a Joint Security Force Culture. He emphasized the need for ongoing collaboration between the Army and the BSF to effectively navigate the evolving border threats and safeguard the nation’s security interests.
Several activities marked the conference, including strategic briefings that provided insights into operational strategies, field training demonstrations showcasing readiness capabilities, and a ceremonial exchange of mementos symbolizing the commitment to operational excellence and national defense.
