A notable milestone was achieved at INS Valsura as Rear Admiral C Raghuram, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (NSM), presided over the End of Course activities for the Electrical Specialization Course on April 17, 2025. The event commemorated the successful completion of a rigorous 95-week professional training program by 37 officers, which included international trainees from Sri Lanka and Myanmar. This occasion highlighted the Indian Navy’s commitment to enhancing regional maritime cooperation.
The ceremony took place at the INS Valsura campus located in Jamnagar, Gujarat, underscoring the institute’s position as a premier technical training center for the Indian Navy. Since its establishment in 1950, INS Valsura has specialized in electrical and electronics engineering, adeptly preparing naval officers to maintain advanced equipment onboard ships. The participation of international trainees serves to reinforce India’s efforts to strengthen its relationships with neighboring maritime nations within the Indian Ocean Region.
During the ceremony, Sub-Lieutenant Rahul Karki was named the ‘Best All-Round Officer’ for his exemplary performance across academics, sports, and leadership. This recognition exemplifies the Indian Navy’s focus on holistic development, ensuring that its officers are adeptly prepared to tackle the multifaceted challenges associated with naval service.
The Passing Out Parade featured a precise march past, where officers donned crisp white uniforms, reflecting both discipline and dedication.
