The Israeli military has initiated a series of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, shortly after issuing evacuation warnings for residents in specific areas. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the commencement of these strikes, emphasizing their focus on military targets linked to Hezbollah.
The decision to launch these military operations came in conjunction with alerts directed towards the inhabitants of several buildings in three villages: Taybeh, Tayr Debba, and Aita Al-Jabal. Residents were instructed to evacuate immediately to ensure their safety amid the ongoing military actions.
In a subsequent announcement, IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee extended evacuation advisories to residents of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, urging them to leave their premises as a precautionary measure.
Amid these developments, Israeli government spokeswoman Shosh Bedrosian reiterated the nation’s commitment to maintaining regional stability and upholding the existing ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah. “Israel will continue to defend all of its borders,” Bedrosian stated, reinforcing the message that the government intends to take necessary actions to prevent Hezbollah from re-establishing any military capabilities in the area.
The situation remains tense as these actions take place against a backdrop of longstanding conflicts and military engagements in the region.
