In a significant leadership transition within the Indian Army, Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpuria, AVSM, VSM, has officially relinquished command of the Vajra Corps to Lieutenant General Amit Kabthiyal, YSM, SM**. During his farewell address to the troops, Lt Gen Chandpuria expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support and professionalism demonstrated by all ranks under his command. Since taking command in July 2024, Lt Gen Chandpuria has led the Vajra Corps with remarkable vision and determination. His leadership was particularly notable during critical operations such as Operation Sindoor and Operation Rahat, where the Corps showcased swift and coordinated operational responses. His tenure also emphasized enhanced combat readiness, strong jointness across services, and effective military-civil fusion, all of which played pivotal roles in the Corps’ success.
