Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Central Command, conducted a visit to Headquarters PUP & MP Sub Area in Prayagraj on March 2, 2026, to assess both operational and welfare initiatives in the region.

During his visit, Lt Gen Sengupta received a comprehensive briefing on various measures implemented to maintain operational readiness. He also explored veteran outreach programs, welfare initiatives, and forthcoming infrastructure development projects planned for the Sub Area.

The Army Commander praised the efforts of the formation and underscored the critical importance of a sustained commitment to incorporating new technologies in infrastructure development. He emphasized that focused welfare measures are vital for serving personnel, veterans, and their families, reinforcing the Indian Armyโ€™s dedication to their well-being.

As a key part of his agenda, Lt Gen Sengupta inspected the newly established Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Complex at Military Hospital Prayagraj. He reviewed the state-of-the-art medical facilities designed to enhance critical care services. Expressing appreciation for the modern infrastructure and improved medical capabilities, the Army Commander reaffirmed the Indian Armyโ€™s steadfast determination to deliver quality healthcare for serving personnel, veterans, and their dependents.
