Lt Gen Rajiv Kumar Sahni Takes Charge as DG EME and Col EME

Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni has officially taken on the esteemed role of Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME. The formal ceremony for this significant appointment took place at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, where Lt Gen Sahni paid tribute to the nation’s Bravehearts by laying a wreath in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the country.

In his inaugural address, Lt Gen Sahni emphasized the importance of leading dynamic and results-oriented innovations within the Corps. He urged the engineers and personnel of EME to focus on technological advancements that would bolster the operational preparedness of the Indian Army. “The Corps of EME plays a crucial role in the technological enablement of our forces,” he stated, highlighting the necessity for a forward-thinking approach in the face of evolving defense challenges.
