In a significant boost to the welfare and administrative infrastructure for troops stationed in the region, Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of the Assam Rifles, inaugurated a newly constructed Sainik Institute and a modern Cook House in the Dimapur Sector of Nagaland on March 6, 2026. The newly established Sainik Institute provides a dedicated space for relaxation and recreation, allowing soldiers to unwind and recharge during their off-duty hours.
