Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM, Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), is currently undertaking an Administrative Inspection of the Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate, running from April 29 to April 30, 2026. This initiative focuses on several critical areas related to the functioning and effectiveness of the Directorate.
The inspection is structured to accomplish multiple objectives. First, it aims to review the administrative processes and the overall operational efficiency of the Directorate. In addition, it seeks to assess current training standards and their effectiveness within the programs being offered. An evaluation of organizational efficiency, in conjunction with cadet engagement, forms a core component of this comprehensive review.
Throughout his visit, the DG NCC has scheduled key engagements, which include meeting with notable officials such as Shri Mangubhai C Patel. He also visited the 1 MP Naval Unit and inspected various NCC camp activities at the Vaishnavi Institute, providing a firsthand look at the operational readiness and training activities of cadets.
During interactions with the cadets, Lt Gen Vats took the opportunity to inspire and motivate them to embody the principles of discipline and leadership. He stressed the importance of excelling in training and performance while highlighting the significant role they play in nation-building.
