Lt Gen Harpal Singh has officially taken charge as the 29th Director General of Border Roads, stepping into a crucial leadership role within the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). This organization is recognized as the nation’s leading force dedicated to the development of strategic road infrastructure.

In his inaugural address to officers, personnel, and civilian paid labourers, Lt Gen Singh emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of enthusiasm and dedication in the pursuit of delivering essential strategic infrastructure. He highlighted the challenges faced by BRO, which operates in some of the country’s most difficult terrains. The General reiterated the organization’s vital contribution to enhancing national security, improving operational mobility, and fostering socio-economic development in border and remote areas.
