Maroon Beret Ceremonial Parade Of Garud Commandos was held at GRTC

Maroon Beret Ceremonial Parade was held on September 3, 2022 at the Garud Regimental Training Centre (GRTC) at Air Force Station Chandinagar to celebrate the completion of training for the “Garud” Commandos of the Air Force Special Forces.

The event’s most important guest was Air Vice Marshal Rakesh Sinha AVSM, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff Operations (Offensive), Air Headquarters. He talked about the parade. The Chief Guest was welcomed by Wing Commander Trilok Sharma, who is in charge of the Garud Regimental Training Centre.

The Chief Guest told the Garuds how happy he was that they had finished their training at the Garud Regimental Training Centre. When he talked to the young commandos, he stressed how important it was to train and improve Special Forces skills so they could keep up with how security was changing.

He gave the best Garud trainees a Maroon Beret, a Garud Proficiency Badge, and Special Forces Tabs. He also gave trophies to the best trainees who were graduating. LAC Jondhale S. Balasaheb was given the trophy for the best all-around player.

As part of the ceremony, the “Garuds” showed off their skills in Combat Firing Skill, Hostage Rescue, Firing Drill, Assault Explosives, Obstacle Crossing Drill, Wall Climbing, Slithering, Rappelling, and Military Martial Arts.

The Maroon Beret Ceremonial Parade is a moment of pride and accomplishment for the young Garuds who are graduating, as it marks the end of their difficult training and their transformation into “Young Special Forces Operators” who will serve their country even if it costs them their lives.
