The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow showcased its prowess at the national-level Gameathon Hackathon 2026, organized by the Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS) in Chennai. The event, which came to a close on June 25, 2026, saw MCTE excel with three teams making it to the top ten finalists.
This prestigious competition drew participants from a wide array of esteemed academic institutions and organizations nationwide, all geared towards developing technology-driven solutions for pressing contemporary challenges.
Among the highlights of the event was a remarkable achievement from a team consisting of Captain Anmol Syal, Captain Adarsh Rajput, and Captain Abhishek Madhukar. This team was recognized as runners-up for their innovative application focused on enhancing cybersecurity awareness among users. Their application aims to educate individuals about identifying and effectively responding to various evolving cyber threats, such as phishing attacks, malware, AI-enabled cybercrimes, and social engineering tactics. By blending interactive learning with practical awareness modules, the application aspires to bolster cyber resilience and promote safe digital practices among users.
Their efforts garnered national recognition, with the team being honored by Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, during the event’s closing ceremony.
