A cutting-edge electronic warfare system is set to bolster the defenses of the Ukrainian military against the escalating threat posed by Russian drones. The new system, known as Patelnya—meaning “frying pan” in English—has been designed to enhance the safety of troops operating in precarious battlefield conditions.
Developed by the Ukrainian company Unwave, the Patelnya system is compact and easily transportable, fitting into a backpack for convenient deployment. It is offered in two distinct versions, designated as 2K and 3K.
The Patelnya system operates by emitting 50 watts of electromagnetic signals across a wide range of frequency bands. This capability allows it to create a comprehensive 360-degree protective shield, effectively neutralizing enemy drone activities and safeguarding soldiers on the ground.
