The use of the electromagnetic spectrum to one’s advantage while preventing the enemy from using it is known as electronic warfare. Electronic Warfare (EW) consists of two components: electronic support (ES) and electronic attack (EA) (ES). Electronic countermeasures (ECM) and electronic support measures (ESM) are other names for these (ECM). The former intercepts and analyses threats (such as radars or communication systems), whereas the latter jams the perceived threat.

Over the course of two years, Project Himshakti will employ approximately three lakh people. The project represents a significant step forward in developing indigenous capabilities, allowing the country to become “self-sufficient” in defence manufacturing.
