Raksha Rajya Mantri (Minister of State for Defence) Shri Sanjay Seth presented awards to the best Marching Contingents and Tableaux of the Republic Day Parade 2025 at Rashtriya Rangshala Camp in the national capital today.
During the ceremony, Shri Sanjay Seth also conferred special prizes to the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) Tableau and artists of the cultural performances, in addition to handing over six mementos to representatives of various tractor companies.
Assessment by Three Panels of Judges
Three separate panels of judges were constituted to evaluate:
- Marching Contingents from the Services (Army, Navy, Air Force)
- Marching Contingents from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other auxiliary forces
- Tableaux from States/Union Territories & Central Ministries/Departments
After careful assessment, the following were declared winners:
- Best Marching Contingent (Services): Jammu & Kashmir Rifles Contingent
- Best Marching Contingent (CAPFs/other auxiliary forces): Delhi Police Marching Contingent
Top Three Tableaux (States/UTs)
- 1st: Uttar Pradesh – Mahakumbh 2025: Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas
- 2nd: Tripura – Eternal Reverence: The Worship of 14 Deities in Tripura – Kharchi Puja
- 3rd: Andhra Pradesh – Etikoppaka Bommalu: Eco-Friendly Wooden Toys
- Best Tableau from Central Ministries/Departments: Ministry of Tribal Affairs (Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh)
Special Prizes
- Central Public Works Department (CPWD): 75 years of Constitution of India

‘Popular Choice’ Winners via MyGov Online Poll
An online poll was conducted on the MyGov portal from January 26 to 28, 2025, allowing citizens to vote for their favourite Marching Contingent and Tableau. The results were as follows:

Raksha Rajya Mantri’s Address
Speaking on the occasion, Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth recalled the words of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, stating that “the participation of individuals in the Republic Day Parade showcases the love and dedication of people towards the nation.” He commended all participants for their creativity and hard work, noting that “it is not the contribution of just one person but the resolve of 140 crore Indians to make the country one of the strongest nations in the world.”
Shri Sanjay Seth also highlighted the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’, emphasizing the collective responsibility of every citizen.
Guinness World Record Attempt and Cultural Performances
The Raksha Rajya Mantri expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture for taking up the challenge of creating a new Guinness World Record by featuring 5,000 artists in the Cultural Performance during the Republic Day celebrations. He remarked on the nationwide admiration and appreciation that poured in for this grand display of India’s diverse cultural heritage.
As part of the awards event, Shri Sanjay Seth witnessed three cultural performances by the Tableaux artists, which encapsulated the spirit of unity in diversity and the cultural vibrancy of different regions of the country.
With the successful conclusion of the Republic Day Parade 2025 celebrations, the award ceremony at Rashtriya Rangshala Camp celebrated the excellence, innovation, and commitment displayed by the Marching Contingents, Tableaux, and cultural performers—truly reflecting the nation’s unity and the collective resolve to achieve new milestones in the journey towards a ‘Viksit Bharat.’
