This trial is being conducted during the 4th Infantry Division’s Ivy Sting 2 exercise, where the Army is focusing on an AI-powered target recognition system.
This innovative system is designed to identify hulks—non-operational vehicles that serve as targets—by training the AI to recognize a tank and initiate an automatic fire mission.
