Yudh Kaushal 3.0 In Arunachal Pradesh
The large-scale exercise was witnessed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Gajraj Corps, and it showcased a seamless blend of advanced technology, operational innovation, and professional excellence by Indian troops, Defence PRO Lt Col Mahendra Rawat said on Sunday.
Advanced Multi-Domain Capabilities
The exercise highlighted the Army’s growing ability to operate in multi-domain environments, with demonstrations of:
- Drone surveillance for enhanced situational awareness
- Real-time target acquisition and precision strikes
- Air-littoral dominance ensuring operational superiority
- Synchronised battlefield manoeuvres for effective joint action
These elements reflected the Army’s adaptability to modern warfare dynamics, where technology and tactical excellence must operate hand in hand.
Debut of ASHNI Platoons
A major highlight of Yudh Kaushal 3.0 was the operational debut of the newly raised ASHNI platoons. These units showcased how next-generation technologies, when combined with battle-hardened tactics, can provide a decisive edge in both present and future conflicts.
Indigenous Defence Industry Participation
One of the distinctive features of the exercise was the active integration of India’s civil defence industry, symbolising the ongoing ‘Decade of Transformation’ in the defence sector. This collaboration highlighted how indigenous defence innovations are rapidly being translated into battlefield advantages, strengthening national security and advancing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
Embracing Emerging Technologies
Lt Col Rawat noted that the exercise not only validated the Army’s combat preparedness in high-altitude and harsh climatic conditions but also reaffirmed its commitment to adopting emerging technologies such as unmanned systems, precision weaponry, and multi-domain operational concepts.
Future-Ready Force
The successful conduct of Yudh Kaushal 3.0 epitomises the Indian Army’s pursuit of excellence, adaptability, and technological advancement. It stands as a testimony to the Army’s unwavering resolve to remain future-ready for next-generation warfare.
