Thematic Apperception Test in SSB consists of a set of ambiguous pictures that will be shown to the candidate, while looking at these pictures candidates must create a theme like a story that requires a hero and a challenge, how the hero will overcome the crisis and succeed.
In TAT a candidate will be asked to write a story on his own based on the images shown. A candidate shouldn’t just use his memory blocks and start preparing a story, he/she needs to see that in every third or fourth line there are different meanings coming, try interpretation and analyze those meanings in the third person because that meaning shows the candidate’s state of mind.

Aarushi works in the block development office of a district in Tamil Nadu. She is a self-motivated lady who has ambitious vision in the field of Public Service. Growing up from a service class background she has witnessed struggle and therefore turned that as an opportunity to serve others. Apart from regular office hours, she inspires the young women of the society in community meetings, encourages sports and skill development, goes village to village along with her team to spread awareness activities. She as an individual keeps a very engaging and inspiring environment both in the office as well as personal life. Currently she is leading the team to sow the seeds of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ Scheme. Her District has been selected from Tamil Nadu for this initiative launch under the aegis of the Union Government. There was a huge response from the women of the nearby villages and the picture represents a young woman going to the regular class for education under this scheme.

Varshika residing in Thane, Maharashtra has just completed her graduation with Bachelors degree of Commerce. She has decided to present her startup idea in the Standup India summit. During the presentation the lady mentioned the benefits of the playschool culture in a growing era of working parents. These children are trained across various habits like sanitation, mannerism, engagement which indirectly helps in communication and many more. The idea was appreciated by the delegates and the idea received funding from enthusiastic ventures. Varshika has been a meritorious student in her academic career and has a team ready who are women from service class who need jobs. This fulfills the Corporate Social Responsibility of the startup. The startup received an encouraging participation from the working class in an around the locality and is slowly expanding to different cities of the state.
