He recently graduated from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun, marking a notable achievement for both his family and his native village of Sanyura.
Amit completed his extensive military training at the IMA and was commissioned into the esteemed Sikh Regiment during the Passing Out Parade (POP) held on Saturday. This ceremony signified the culmination of months filled with rigorous discipline, enduring challenges, and steadfast dedication, as Amit officially entered the officer ranks of the Indian Army.
What adds an inspiring layer to Amit’s journey is his strong military lineage. His father, Subedar Major Kishore Kandpal, serves in the Indian Army and is currently stationed at Ranikhet. Growing up in an environment steeped in discipline and patriotism, Amit absorbed the values of duty, honor, and service from a young age.
His academic journey began at an Army School, showcasing his close ties to military life from childhood. He later graduated from Delhi University, successfully passing the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination. After approximately one and a half years of rigorous training, his aspiration to serve as an Army officer was realized.
