  • Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness: Maximum 35 years as on 01 April 2027 (for both Tech and Non-Tech entries).

Marital Status
Only unmarried female candidates are eligible. Marriage during training is strictly prohibited and results in discharge with full recovery of government expenditure.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess (or be in the final year of) a B.E./B.Tech degree in one of the notified Engineering streams or their AICTE-approved equivalent streams.
  • Final-year candidates must submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination along with all semester/year marksheets by 01 April 2027 and produce the degree certificate within 12 weeks of training commencement. They will be inducted on an additional bond basis for recovery of training costs, stipend, and pay & allowances if they fail to produce the certificate.
  • Candidates whose final-year/semester results are declared after 01 April 2027 are not eligible.
  • Strict Stream Match Requirement: The Engineering stream nomenclature on the degree parchment/marksheet must exactly match the stream mentioned in the online application. Any mismatch leads to immediate cancellation of candidature.
  • Degrees must be from universities/institutions recognised under relevant Acts (UGC, IIT, AICTE, NITSER, IIIT, etc.). Foreign degrees are not accepted.

Vacancies are tentative and may be re-appropriated based on organisational requirements. Only one entry/discipline per candidate is permitted.

Selection Procedure

  1. Shortlisting: Applications are shortlisted stream-wise based on cumulative percentage of marks up to the final semester/year (or applicable semesters for final-year candidates) against a vacancy-to-call-up ratio decided by the Directorate General of Recruiting. Cut-off marks will be published in the first week of September 2026.

Training and Service Conditions

  • Academic Award: Post Graduate Diploma in Military Studies & Defence Management from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (upon successful completion).

  • Technical Allowance: Tier-I ₹3,000 or Tier-II ₹4,500 per month (as applicable).
