The Indian Army has facilitated a National Integration Tour for students from three schools in Poonch and Ladakh, bringing them to New Delhi under Operation Sadbhavana. The visit gave the young participants a chance to see the national capital and experience India’s cultural diversity first-hand.
Focus on unity and understanding
According to the information provided, the initiative is intended to deepen national integration, encourage cultural understanding and build a stronger sense of unity among students from remote and strategically important areas. The programme is framed as part of the Army’s wider outreach efforts in regions such as Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
During the visit, the students met the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Delhi Area. He encouraged them to work towards their goals with confidence and to uphold the values of unity, harmony and shared national identity.
The interaction also allowed the students to spend time with senior Army leadership and draw inspiration from the Armed Forces’ stated commitment to national service and nation-building.

Operation Sadbhavana outreach
The Army said that Operation Sadbhavana includes educational tours, community development programmes, healthcare initiatives and other welfare activities. These efforts are aimed at improving opportunities for people in remote and border areas while also building trust and understanding between the Armed Forces and local communities.

By travelling to different parts of India, students from geographically isolated regions can interact with people from varied backgrounds and gain exposure to the country’s educational, social and cultural landscape. The Army highlighted this tour as part of its continuing effort to connect young people across regions and strengthen their sense of belonging to the nation.
The programme also reflects the Army’s role beyond military duties, with the initiative presented as supporting education, unity and social development alongside its operational responsibilities.
