On Sunday, the Indian Navy successfully test-launched a BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from its frontline guided missile ship INS Mormugao. According to an official, the Indian Navy’s weapons at sea were on display. The officer also praised INS Mormugao for striking the “bullseye” with her first BrahMos supersonic cruise missile launch. It is the Indian Navy’s most recent guided-missile destroyer.
Bulls Eye on the Target
The latest guided-missile destroyer, INS Mormugao, successfully struck ‘Bulls Eye’ during her first Brahmos Supersonic cruise missile firing. The ship and her lethal armament, both indigenous, are yet another stunning example of Aatmanirbharta and the Indian Navy’s maritime power. The ship and her potent weapon, both indigenous, mark another shining symbol of ‘AatmaNirbharta’ and the Indian Navy’s firepower at sea.
INS Mormugao
INS Mormugao is a Vishakhapatnam-Class Stealth Guided Missile Destroyer of the Indian Navy and is a second ship of the class. It was built at Mazagaon Dock Limited (MDL) was launched on September 17, 2016, and got commissioned on 18th December 2022.
