Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar

The Government Has Instituted A New Set Of National Awards In The Field Of Science, Technology And Innovation Known As ‘Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar’.
This Award Is Meant To Recognize The Notable And Inspiring Contribution Made By Scientists, Technologists, And Innovators In Various Fields Of Science, Technology And Technology-Led Innovation.

The Award Is In Four Categories, Which Include Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar, And Vigyan Team.
The Nominations For These Awards Will Be Invited Every Year On 14th January Till 28th February The National Science Day.
These Awards Will Be Announced On 11th May On The National Technology Day, And The Award Ceremony Will Be Held On 23rd August On The National Space Day Every Year.
The Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskars Shall Be Given In The 13 Domains, Namely Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Mathematics & Computer Science, Earth Science, Medicine, Engineering Sciences, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Technology & Innovation, Atomic Energy, Space Science And Technology, And Others.

In A Historic Move, The Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar Constituted An All-Women Panel Of Vice-Chairpersons In Rajya Sabha In View Of The Women’s Reservation Bill.
The Panel Comprises 13 Women Rajya Sabha Members Only For Today As The Rajya Sabha Is Discussing The Women’s Reservation Bill Which Is Called As Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam 2023.
The Panel Includes P. T. Usha, Jaya Bachchan, Saroj Pandey, Dola Sen, Sulata Deo And Dr. Fauzia Khan.
The Chairman Emphasized That Their Presence On The Chair Will Send A Powerful Message To The World At Large And It Would Symbolize That They Held A Commanding Position During This Epochal Moment Of Change.

International Congress On Chemistry Of Cement

India will host the International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement (ICCC) in the year 2027 in New Delhi.
The Commerce and Industry Ministry announced that the country won the bid to hold this event on a presentation from the National Council for Cement and Building Materials along with IIT Delhi.

It was presented at the ongoing 16th ICCC in Bangkok, Thailand.
India defeated Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates to win the bid.
The ICCC is regarded as the largest and the most prestigious event in the area of Cement and Concrete.
