‘Best Personality- Empowerment Of Differently Abled’

  • In a ceremony organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Prashant Agrawal, the President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, was honored with the prestigious National Award for ‘Best Personality- Empowerment of Differently-abled.’
  • The award was presented by President Draupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
  • The event highlighted Agrawal’s commitment to the cause of disability empowerment.
  • Prashant Agrawal’s recognition stems from his exceptional efforts in leading initiatives aimed at empowering differently-abled individuals.

  • His instrumental role in establishing residential schools, vocational rehabilitation centers, and providing assistive devices has significantly impacted the lives of many.
  • Upon receiving the award, Prashant Agrawal expressed his gratitude, dedicating the recognition to the beneficiaries of Narayan Seva Sansthan.
  • The organization, dedicated to serving humanity and disability causes since 1985, has achieved significant milestones under Agrawal’s leadership.

Wax Statue Of Baba Ambedkar

  • In a significant tribute to the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a wax statue has been unveiled at the Jaipur Wax Museum, Nahargarh Fort.
  • The Founder Director of the museum, Anoop Srivastava, shared the motivation behind this addition, citing the demand from tourists and visitors.
  • The wax statue was inaugurated on December 6, coinciding with Mahaparinirvan Day, commemorating the passing of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

  • Crafted with meticulous detail, the wax statue stands at an impressive height of 5 feet 11 inches, weighing approximately 38 kg.
  • The sculpture faithfully replicates the iconic image of Baba Saheb, depicting him with the Constitution book in hand and adorned in his signature blue suit. This faithful representation serves to evoke the image deeply embedded in the minds of the people.

Infinity Forum 2.0

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the second edition of the Infinity Forum, a premier Financial Technology event.
  • The event, hosted by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) and GIFT City, is under the auspices of the Government of India.
  • Building on the success of its inaugural edition in December 2021, the Infinity Forum 2.0 promises to be a global thought leadership platform focusing on financial services.
  • The central theme of the 2nd edition is ‘GIFT-IFSC: Nerve Centre for New Age Global Financial Services.

  • This theme will be explored through three tracks, highlighting the pivotal role of the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) in shaping the future of global financial services.
  • The first edition of the Infinity Forum, organized in 2021, saw an overwhelming response with over 95,000 registrations from more than 80 countries.
  • A key highlight of the event was the ‘FinTech Showcase,’ featuring over 100 virtual exhibitors alongside the main proceedings.
  • The IFSCA conceived the forum as a space for exploring progressive ideas, addressing critical issues, and showcasing innovative technologies from around the world.
  • Anticipating the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, the second edition of the Infinity Forum is organized in a hybrid mode.
  • This format aims to ensure inclusivity, allowing a diverse audience to engage with the discussions and insights presented.

POK Is Ours : 24 Seats Reserved For Region

  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah told the Lok Sabha that 24 seats have been reserved for Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) as the territory “is ours”.
  • The Home Minister was speaking in the Parliament during a debate on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023. Delimitation Commission has reserved 24 seats for Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

  • The Centre has set up a Delimitation Commission for the delimitation of assembly and parliamentary constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
  •  Amit Shah said that Jammu had 37 seats earlier but now it has 43 where Kashmir had 46 seats previously but now has 47.
  • PoK, 24 seats have been reserved since PoK is ours,” Shah said in the Parliament.
  • He further noted that there will now be 5 nominated members in the J&K Assembly with the passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023.  
  • “Earlier, two women were nominated by the Governor in the state assembly. And now, two of the Kashmiri migrants, out of whom one must be a woman, and one person from PoK,”.

  • During the course of this discussion, Amit Shah also seized the opportunity to take aim at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, holding the late Prime Minister of India responsible for the PoK issue.
  • “As per Shah, Jammu and Kashmir suffered due to two major “blunders” by Nehru. These were announcing the ceasefire and taking the Kashmir issue to the United Nations.

  • J&K Witnessed Terrorism After 1980s. “People Who Were Native Residents Were Displaced. No One Cared About Them . If They Had Eliminated Terror At That Time, Neither They (Kashmiri Pandits) Would Have Had To Leave Nor Would I Need To Bring These Bills,” He Said.
  • “When They (Kashmiri Pandits) Were Displaced, They Had To Become Refugees In Their Own Country AT Data, 46,631 Families And 157,967 Individuals Were Displaced Within Their Own Country In Such A Way That Their Roots Were Uprooted This Bill Is To Give Them Rights, Representation,” He Said.

1,000 Qubit Quantum Chip Named ‘Condor’
