An Indian Air Force contingent of 145 Air Warriors left Air Force Station Jamnagar today to participate in Exercise Cobra Warrior at the Royal Air Force’s Waddington Air Force Base in the United Kingdom. The exercise is scheduled to take place from March 6 to March 24.
Exercise Cobra Warrior is a multilateral air exercise in which the Royal Air Force and the Indian Air Force will be joined by the air forces of Finland, Sweden, South Africa, the United States of America, and Singapore.
This year, the IAF will take part in the exercise with five Mirage 2000 fighters, two C-17 Globemaster IIIs, and an IL-78 mid-air refueller aircraft. The exercise’s goal is to participate in various fighter aircraft engagements and learn from best practices.

The joint military exercise will allow the two Airforce to share best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for conducting tactical operations under the UN mandate, as well as develop interoperability, friendship, and camaraderie between the two nations.
