Graduation Ceremony Of 44th Flight Test Course Held At AFTPS, Bengaluru

ACM VR Chaudhari CAS visited Air Force Test Pilots School, Bengaluru on 25 May 22 as Chief Guest for the Graduation Ceremony of the 44th Flight Test Course.

CAS felicitated the officers & conveyed his best wishes for a “challenging & dynamic flight testing career” ahead. During his address, CAS reiterated that Flight Test Crew, as part of the Aircraft & Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), are integral to IAF’s growth plan. He underlined the future role of the graduating officers as a seamless interface between the user, designer & manufacturer.

The Indian Air Force Test Pilot School is a unit of the Indian Air Force (IAF) that evaluates aircraft and systems for induction into user organisations. Most new aircraft types and major airborne systems must have ASTE’s stamp of approval to be considered fit for service in India. While many countries have testing facilities of one kind or the other, training of flight test personnel is not often imparted in them. ASTE’s Air Force Test Pilots School (AFTPS) is only the fifth such institution in the world.
