Army dog Zoom, under treatment at 54 AFVH (Advance Field Veterinary Hospital ), passed away around 12 noon today. He was responding well till around 11:45 am when he suddenly started gasping & collapsed. He had received 2 gunshot injuries in an op in J&K. Nation Condoles the death of the Braveheart Assault Dog ‘Zoom’.
Injured in line of duty in operation at Tangpawa Ananatnag, he finally breathed the last on 13 October 2022.
A real hero in service to the Nation.
Zoom, an attack dog with the Indian Army, suffered critical injuries while battling terrorists in J&K. It’s terribly depressing.
According to reports, the operation took place in Kokernag, Anantnag, in J&K, and the Army dog is currently receiving medical attention in Srinagar.
Since then, a video of Zoom’s spooky training has gone viral on social media, garnering praise and well wishes for the Army canine.

Zoom, the Army’s attack canine, has garnered attention across the nation for his valour, dedication, and efficiency. The German Shepherd was involved in an Army operation against terrorists in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, where he assisted in the deaths of two terrorists.
Zoom is the force’s assault dog, according to the Chinar corps of the Indian Army. Zoom was raised to be loyal and vicious. It had been trained for months to track down terrorists and kill them by finding, locating, and attacking them.
Many operations against terrorists have included Zoom.
It was given the assignment on Monday to find terrorists who had been hiding in a residence in Anantnag. The two terrorists were forced to flee for their lives after being assaulted by the dog. Before they fired again at him with their assault rifles, he gravely wounded them. Despite being hurt, he kept on doing his job.
Later, security personnel killed the two terrorists.

Aasif Ahmed alias Hubaib and Vakeel Ahmed alias Talha, both members of The Resistance Front, have been named as the two terrorists.
Because they couldn’t find the terrorists’ exact hiding place, Army officers employed Zoom in the assault. Later, they equipped Zoom with a body cam, which detected them.
