Lieutenant Commander Disha Amrith will be in charge of the 144 young sailors in the navy who will take part in the Republic Day Parade in 2023. The Contingent Commander will be Lt. Cdr. Disha Amrith, and the Platoon Commanders will be Lt. Ashwani Singh, SLt. Valli Meena S, and SLt. M. Aditya.
Lt. Commander Disha Amrith told the media: “Since 1980, women have been able to join the Indian Navy. I’m glad I’m a part of it. Women are now becoming sailors in the Indian Navy. This shows that women are now equal to men in every field. We won’t show off anything less than our best work.”
Lt. Cdr. Disha Amrith said that it had been her dream since she was a child to join the military and one day salute the President of India at the Republic Day parade. The President of India is the head of the Indian military.
