Gaya: Following the 22nd passing out parade (POP) organized at the parade ground on the OTA campus on Saturday, 69 cadets who completed their training at the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) at Gaya were commissioned as officers in the Indian Army.

There are 61 cadets from the 40th technical entry scheme (TES) and eight from the 49th special commissioned officers (SCO) categories among those who have been commissioned.

The cadets commissioned from the TES category come from 53 different Indian states and eight friendly foreign countries. In the TES category, Rajasthan leads the way with 15 cadets, followed by Uttarakhand (6), Maharashtra (4); Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana (3 each); Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and (2 each); and Chhatisgarh, Karnataka, Telangana, West Bengal, and Gulmi state (1 each). Five from Bhutan, two from Vietnam, and one from Sri Lanka are among the eight cadets from friendly foreign countries who completed their training in the TES-40 category and were commissioned as officers in their respective countries armies.

In addition to the cadets from TES-40 and SCO-49, 72 others from the TES-46 course took part in the POP. These 72 cadets will be assigned to various Army cadet training wings to pursue engineering degrees at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering-Secunderabad, Military College of Telecommunication Engineering-Mhow, and College of Military Engineering-Pune.
