Thematic Apperception Test in SSB consists of a set of ambiguous pictures that will be shown to the candidate, while looking at these pictures candidates must create a theme like a story that requires a hero and a challenge, how the hero will overcome the crisis and succeed.
In TAT a candidate will be asked to write a story on his own based on the images shown. A candidate shouldn’t just use his memory blocks and start preparing a story, he/she needs to see that in every third or fourth line there are different meanings coming, try interpretation and analyze those meanings in the third person because that meaning shows the candidate’s state of mind.

Ananya and Anjali are college batch mates studying in 2nd year of engineering in Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur. Anjali has come to Ananya’s place to discuss further plans for the internship program. Mr. Ananth Verma, father of Ananya works as an Executive Engineer in the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and hence the duo had decided to take further guidance from Sir. Mr. Ananth Verma, joins the ladies for coffee and guides them on career pathing. Anjali and Ananya are inspired from the discussion and realize the potential of engineering being a game changer for the tomorrow. They decided to go ahead with internship in NMDC which is one of the most prestigious navratna PSU of India. Also, they take the lead educating their other class mates and guided them on the application procedure. The Head of Department of the respective branches applauded both Anjali and Ananya on their initiative. At the end of the internship Anjali, Ananya were awarded on their exemplary dedication from NMDC supporting their internship campaign.

Smriti Deshpande is a 2nd year BCA student of Sadabai Raisoni Women’s college Nagpur. She has been an active social activist and utilizes cultural programs as a means to spread awareness. Apart from her enthusiastic participation in various cultural activities and sports, the lady is an accomplished scholar awarded with various scholarships. Smriti put forward the idea of showcasing “Apathy towards Strangers” by means of a NUKKAD, street play. In her opinion this was a growing issue in the community where bystanders refuse to offer help to any suffering stranger with fear of legal formalities. The management and the cultural committee applauded and instructed Smriti to make a very proper arrangement. She took lead of the responsibilities, groomed the juniors and made them perform on an act where a lady has been robbed and the bystander is ignoring and walking away. This act earned the highest appreciation on the event day and earned media attention as the higher dignitaries and government officials appreciated the motive. It was a proud moment for the lady as well as for the college.
