All male and female engineering graduates who have applied for the Indian Army’s Short Service Commission Technical Entry also known as SSC-Tech entry will be going through an SSB Interview to become an officer in the Indian Army. SSCW Tech 32 Vacancies:
- Candidates must note that only the Engineering streams and their acceptable equivalent streams, strictly as notified in the table below, will be accepted. Candidates with degrees in any other engineering stream(s) are not eligible to apply. The variation between the nomenclature of the Engineering stream as given on the degree parchment/mark sheet and that submitted by the candidate in his online application will result in the cancellation of candidature.

SSCW Tech 32 Merit List:
- It should be noted that simply qualifying for the SSB interview does not guarantee final selection. A merit list will be created based on the candidate’s performance at the SSB interview. If more than one candidate receives equal SSB marks, the older candidate(s) in age will be ranked higher in merit. If more than one candidate has the same SSB marks and age, the candidate(s) with the higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the merit. Higher educational qualifications, previous performances, and so on have no bearing.
How To Select The Indian Army SSCW Tech 32 SSB Interview Date?
- Visit the official career website of the Indian Army. i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- Click on the ‘Officers Entry Apply/ Login’ tab.
- Then, it will redirect you to the login page.
- Now, Enter your credentials including your registered ID and password.
- Then, click on the login dashboard.
- Then, the candidates are required to select the SSB Interview date selection link to book their preferred date and fill up the required information.

SSCW Tech 32 SSB Interview Instructions
- Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (PB). A call-up letter for an SSB interview will be issued by the respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only. Allotment of the Selection Centre is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army) and No request for changes will be entertained in this regard.
- Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available on the official website of the Directorate General of Recruiting ie www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
