India And Moldova
- India and Moldova signed an agreement in New Delhi on visa waiver for diplomatic and official passports. This agreement will allow holders of diplomatic and official passports of either country to travel to the other, without a visa. External Affairs Ministry, Secretary (West), Pavan Kapoor and Moldova’s Ambassador, Ana Taban signed the agreement.
77th Cannes Film Festival
- India will participate at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in France which will be held from 14th to 25th May. The Corporate Indian Delegation consists of representatives from Government of India, State Governments and members of the industry, who will showcase India’s creative economy in the leading film market of the world.
- Information and Broadcasting Ministry said, for the first time India will host a Bharat Parv at the Cannes Film Festival. The Bharat Pavilion at Cannes will serve as a platform for the Indian film community to engage in various activities. This includes fostering production collaborations, curated knowledge sessions, signing distribution deals, business to business meetings and networking with prominent entertainment and media players from around the world.
- The official poster and trailer of the 55th India International Film Festival to be held in Goa will also be unveiled at the Bharat Parv.
Romalo Ram
- President Droupadi Murmu conferred Padma Shri to Romalo Ram of Jammu and Kashmir in the field of Art in New Delhi.
- Jammu Correspondent reports that Romalo Ram is a Dogri Folk artist of the Jammu region and is known as the real founder of the Dogri folk song Geetru. He revived the dying folk form “Geetru and Bhakh” with his dedication and hard work. He published a book ‘Geetruyen Di Fouhar’.

- In a testament to India’s sustained economic growth, Mumbai and Delhi have debuted in the top 50 wealthiest cities worldwide according to the Wealthiest Cities Report 2024 by Henley & Partners and New World Wealth.
- Mumbai secured the 24th position while Delhi claimed the 37th spot. Compiled by Henley & Partners in collaboration with New World Wealth, the report identifies the wealthiest cities based on the presence of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), centi-millionaires, and billionaires.
- New York City retains its top position with 349,500 millionaires, collectively possessing over $3 trillion in wealth.
- Mumbai boasts 58,800 millionaires, 236 centi-millionaires, and 29 billionaires, securing its place as the 24th wealthiest city. Delhi, on the other hand, is home to 30,700 millionaires, 123 centi-millionaires, and 16 billionaires, placing it at 37th on the list.
- The report highlights the ascent of Asia Pacific cities, with five out of the top 10 wealthiest cities belonging to this region.
- Tokyo leads the pack in third place, followed by Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Beijing. Dubai stands as the wealthiest city in West Asia, ranked 21st globally.
- Seven of the ten fastest-growing millionaire cities are located in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Shenzhen in China leads the pack with a staggering 140% growth in its millionaire population over the last decade, followed by Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Delhi, Beijing, Shanghai, and Mumbai.

- A Significant Milestone In Isro’s Semi-cryogenic Engine Development Is The Successful Ignition Of The Semi-cryo Pre-burner.
- This Achievement, Crucial For Initiating The Semi-cryogenic Engine, Was Realized Through Testing Conducted At The Isro Propulsion Complex (IPRC) In Mahendragiri.

- The report reveals a striking increase in AI utilisation in the workplace, with its use nearly doubling in the past six months. This exponential growth is based on a comprehensive survey involving 31,000 individuals from 31 different countries, along with analysis of labour trends on LinkedIn, productivity data from Microsoft 365, and input from Fortune 500 customers.
- Approximately 75% of knowledge workers globally now incorporate AI into their daily tasks. Employees have reported that AI tools save time, enhance creativity, and allow them to concentrate on their most crucial tasks, effectively handling the increasing pace and volume of work expected in modern business environments.
- While 79% of business leaders acknowledge that adopting AI is essential to maintaining a competitive edge, about 59% express concerns over quantifying AI’s productivity benefits.
- Furthermore, around 60% of these leaders admit their organisations lack a coherent vision and strategy for implementing AI effectively. A noteworthy observation from the report is the ‘Bring Your Own AI’ (BYOAI) phenomenon, where 78% of AI users introduce personal AI tools at work.
- This trend underscores a shift in workplace dynamics, with employees leveraging personal AI technologies to enhance productivity and job satisfaction. A significant skill gap exists, with 55% of leaders concerned about finding sufficient talent to fill AI-related roles, particularly in cybersecurity, engineering, and creative design.
What Are AI Deadbots
- A rising trend within artificial intelligence involves the creation of ‘deadbots’ or ‘griefbots’, which are chatbots designed to emulate deceased individuals.
