What are the key features of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana?

• Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (Traditional Farming Improvement Programme) was launched in April 2015.
• Launched to support and promote organic farming and thereby improving soil health.
• Organic farming is promoted through the adoption of the organic village by cluster approach and PGS certification.
• Fifty or more farmers form a cluster having 50-acre land to take organic farming.
• The produce will be pesticide residue free and will contribute to improving the health of the consumer.

National Strategy for Financial Education 2020-2025

• RBI has released the National Strategy for Financial Education (NSFE): 2020-2025 document for creating a financially aware and empowered India.
• It is the second NSFE, the first one being released in 2013.
• Prepared by the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) in consultation RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), etc.
• Key recommendations:
• Adopt a ‘5 C’ – Content, Capacity, Community, Communication and Collaboration – approach to achieve the financial well-being of all Indians.
• There should be updation of financial Literacy content for school children.
• Courses like B.Ed./M.Ed. should include financial education.
• Robust ‘Monitoring and Evaluation Framework’
• There should be development of a financial literacy mobile app and leverage social media.

MP: First state to adopt NRA

• Madhya Pradesh is going to be the first state in India to offer government jobs based on score secured in the Common eligibility test (CET).
• Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced its intention to reserve the seat of all state government jobs for the people of the state.

Unemployment benefit for ESI workers raised

• The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation declared to relax their norms.
• It will offer 50% of salary for three months as unemployment allowance to workers covered under ESIC.
• The people who lost their job between March 24 and December 31 will get the benefit.
• 40 lakh workers across several sectors will be benefitted.
• ESIC is implementing the Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyna Yojna under which unemployment benefit is paid to the workers covered under Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Scheme.
• Under this it offers cash compensation of 25% of the average per day earned to insured persons when they are facing unemployment.
• The scheme is extended for one more year up to 30th June next year.
• Also, it relaxed the eligibility criteria and payment enhancement.

Harit Path: Mobile App

• Developed by: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), a PSU under the Ministry of Road and Transport
• Objective: To facilitate creation of Green Highways across the country.
• The App will also be used to monitor location, growth, species details, maintenance activities, targets and achievements of each of the PSU’s field units for every plant under the Highway plantation projects.
• Photographs of the plants are to be uploaded every three months.
• Harit Bharat Sankalp:
• Nation-wide plantation drive by NHAI
• under this it planted over 25 lakh plants in 25 days along the stretches of the National Highways across the country.
