1^st G20 Health Working Group Meeting In Kerala

The First G-20 Health Working Group (HWG) Meeting Under India’s G-20 Presidency Began On 18 January At Thiruvananthapuram In Kerala.
These HWG Meetings are Held In Various Places Including Thiruvananthapuram In Kerala, Goa, Hyderabad In Telangana, And Gandhinagar In Gujarat.
The Meeting Was Attended By Representatives Of G-20 Member States, Special Invitees, And Relevant International Organisations.
India Is Currently Part Of The G-20 Troika Which Refers To The Top Grouping Within The G-20 Which Includes Countries Like Indonesia, Brazil, And India.
Under The Presidency Of India, The G-20 Health Track Will Include Four Health Working Group (HWG) Meetings And A Health Ministerial Meeting (HMM).
This Is The First Time That Three Developing Countries Are Part Of This Troika.

The Ahom-era ‘Moidams’ (Pyramids Of Assam) In Assam’s Charaideo District Will Be India’s Only Nomination For Recognition As A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Moidams Will Be Nominated In The Cultural Sites Category.
They Were 1^st Included In The Tentative List Of UNESCO World Heritage Site In 2014.
Kaziranga National Park & Manas National Park In Assam Are Among The 7 Natural Sites While There Is No World Heritage Site In The Cultural Heritage Category.
India Currently Has 40 World Heritage Sites (Cultural Sites – 32, Natural Sites – 7 & Mixed Site – 1).

India And South Africa Signed A MoU To Introduce 12 African Cheetahs Annually Over The Next Eight To Ten Year.
As Per The Agreement, An Initial Batch Of 12 Cheetahs Will Be Brought From South Africa To India During February 2023.
The Last Cheetah Of The Country Was Found Dead In The Year 1947 In Chhattisgarh And In The Year 1952 It Was Declared Extinct In The Country.
Under The Reintroduction Action Plan Scheme, 50 Cheetahs Will Be Released In Various National Parks Of The Country Over A Period Of 5 Years.
