National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam is conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of candidates into the Indian Army, Navy and Airforce & the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The NDA Written Exam includes two Papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). The time duration for each paper is of 2 and a half hours. The GAT paper consists of the English section, which can be quite scoring if approached carefully. Each question in the NDA English section consists of 4 marks and a penalty of 1.33 for every incorrect answer. Thus, a total of 200 marks is devoted for a total of 50 questions in NDA English section.
