India-US to Develop Next-Generation Artillery Projectiles

The major goal is to provide sophisticated artillery rounds with a range of more than 100 kilometres to the armed services. These long-range artillery rounds are designed to successfully neutralise targets in circumstances where Global Positioning Systems (GPS) are disrupted or jammed, reducing the need for expensive cruise missiles or multi-barrel rockets. India and the United States hope to address the obstacles created by hostile GPS situations while drastically cutting costs by developing these novel artillery rounds. These missiles’ long-range capabilities will allow for precise targeting of vital objectives without the need for costly alternative weaponry.
