Cadets from friendly countries also pass out every year from the Indian Military Academy. So far 43 cadets from Afghanistan have passed out. Till now cadets of Afghanistan pass out from IMA and join their country’s army after getting training, but due to Taliban rule last year, now their future is also confused.

After the arrival of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, there is currently a state of confusion about the future of Afghanistan, passing out from the Indian Military Academy. At present, these cadets have been detained in IMA till further orders.

The IMA administration says that no orders have been issued in this regard so far, so till further orders, the out cadets near Afghanistan have been stopped in the IMA itself. PRO Lt. Colonel Himani Pant said that whatever order comes next, action will be taken. At present, he has been stopped in the IMA itself.

After the passing out parade held on Saturday at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), the army got a brave team of 288 young officers. When the Gentlemen Cadets reached the Drill Square, it was as if a vast ocean had sprung up on the IMA song. When this group passed in front of the audience gallery, people greeted with applause. Lieutenant General Amardeep Singh, General Officer Commanding of the Army’s South Western Command, took the salute of the parade as an inspecting officer.

377 cadets from India and abroad participated in the parade. All-rounder Gentleman Cadet Mausam Vats, resident of Samastipur, Bihar, was awarded the Gold Medal to Neeraj Singh Papola, resident of Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, for securing first place in the prestigious Sword of Honor and Order of Merit.
