Joint Indo-US Special Forces Exercise Vajra Prahar 2022 Concludes In Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh

The India-USA Joint Special Forces Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR 2022 came to an end at Bakloh (HP) on August 28, 2022. This was the 13th edition of the exercise. India and the United States take turns hosting this exercise every year. In October 2021, the 12th one took place at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington, USA.

Under the United Nations Charter, the 21-day joint training gave the Special Forces from both countries a chance to train together in Air Borne Operations, Special Operations, and Counter Terrorism Operations.

The exercise was done in two parts. The first part was combat conditioning and training for special missions at the tactical level. The second part was a 48-hour check of the training both groups got in the first part.

Both groups were very happy with how the exercise turned out, especially in terms of the standards that were met and the best practises that were shared. During the exercise, both groups worked together to plan and carry out a series of simulated operations in both normal and unusual situations in mountainous terrain.

Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR with the US Special Forces is important because it shows how both countries have to deal with security issues in the current world situation. The joint military exercise has made the friendship between the special forces of both countries even stronger. It has also made it easier for India and the USA to work together on defence.
