Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson of the 141 and Private James Ramirez of the Army Rangers are the major playable characters in the game, with Captain MacTavish being playable later in the campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a 2011 first-person shooter video game. The campaign continues Modern Warfare 2 and begins immediately following the events of the game’s last mission. It is centered on Task Force 141, which includes Captain Price, Soap MacTavish, and a newly featured playable character, Yuri, similar to Modern Warfare 2. They work with the Delta Force and Special Air Service to track down Vladimir Makarov (the trilogy’s major antagonist), a Russian terrorist who leads the Russian Ultranationalist party. He is the mastermind behind multiple terror incidents across Europe, sparking a large-scale battle between Ultranationalists and allied forces.
2. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a first-person shooter video game released in 2020. The campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes place in the early 1980s, between Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) and Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012). It revolves around the hunt for the supposed Soviet spy Perseus, whose declared goal is to destabilize the US and tip the balance of power in favor of the Soviet Union. The player controls “Bell” in the campaign, who is recruited by CIA officer Russell Adler into a multinational task force formed to track down Perseus. The campaign also features the return of Black Ops characters Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson, with Mason serving as a playable character in some objectives.

The single-player Campaign in Battlefield 4 takes set six years after the events of its predecessor, during the mythical “War of 2020.” Tensions between Russia and the United States have reached an all-time high as a result of a six-year battle between the two countries. Furthermore, China is on the verge of war, as the main antagonist, Admiral Chang, plans to overthrow China’s current government. If he succeeds, Chang will have full Russian support, potentially sparking a war between China and the United States.
4. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a tactical shooter video game that can only be played online. The game is situated in an open-world area named Aurora, a fictional Pacific Ocean island chain. Lieutenant Colonel Anthony “Nomad” Perryman, a member of the United States Special Operations Forces, is deployed to the island to investigate a series of disruptions involving Skell Technology, a military contractor situated on Auroa.
5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a first-person shooter game set in 2022. The game, like its predecessor, takes place in a realistic and modern atmosphere. The campaign follows Task Force 141, a multinational special operations force, and Los Vaqueros, a Mexican Special Forces unit, as they attempt to apprehend Iranian Quds Force Major and terrorist Hassan Zyani, who is in possession of American-made ballistic missiles. Modern Warfare II, powered by a new version of the IW engine, continues to enable cross-platform multiplayer and includes a free-to-play battle royale mode, Warzone 2.0, a sequel to the original Warzone.
