ATAGS: Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge, announced last month’s successful delivery of six 155-millimeter Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) artillery weapons to Armenia.
Armenia Gets 6 Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System from India
This delivery corresponds to Armenia’s significant order for a total of 90 ATAGS units valued at $155.5 million (approximately 1,265 crore). The contract calls for an extra 84 ATAGS guns to be delivered in stages over the following three years, with Bharat Forge hoping to finish delivery ahead of schedule.
Surprisingly, Armenia was the first export customer to obtain the 155-millimeter ATAGS artillery pieces, even before India, the host country, did. The ATAGS system has passed all Indian Army User Trials, demonstrating its effectiveness and dependability. The Armenian Defence Forces completed two months of intense trials with the ATAGS guns at the Pokhran Range before placing their order.
