PM Narendra Modi Inaugurated Raisina Dialogue 2023

  • PM launched the 8th edition of the Raisina Dialogue on Geopolitics and Geostrategy in New Delhi on 2 March.
  • The theme of the Raisina Dialogue 2023: “Provocation, Uncertainty, Turbulence: Lighthouse in the Tempest.”
  • The Raisina Dialogue has been organised jointly by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF, established in 1990).
  • Italian PM Giorgia Meloni has been invited as the chief guest in the inaugural session.
  • Its main objective is to explore possibilities and opportunities for Asian integration as well as better integration of Asia with the rest of the world.

Major Changes In The Appointment Process Of Election Commissioners By SC

  • The Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court gave a major judgement that the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners would be appointed by the President on the advice of a committee.
