Despite Covid-19, all 36 Rafales have been delivered to India on time, according to French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain, who also noted that industry workers put in extra hours to make it happen. The French envoy responded when asked about the delivery status of Indian Rafales, saying, “Of course, I mean, there are 36 Rafales for the Air Force that have been delivered on schedule, despite COVID and anything else. To deliver to the Indian Air Force on schedule, workers in our sector have been putting in extra shifts throughout the day, night, and weekends.”

We want to see stronger representation from India at the UNSC and in efforts to address global challenges since India and France share the same values and are both major democracies. We also share the same vision for an Indo-Pacific region that is free and open.

Indian Contingent at Bastille Day in France

According to the press release, three Rafale fighter jets from the Indian Air Force will be a member of the military contingent that will take part in the Bastille Day flypast over Paris’ Champs Elysees, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the guest of honour.
