The Indian Army’s Northern Command proudly announced on Monday that the Dhruva Command’s Air Maintenance team successfully carried out the maiden airdrops of warfighting loads by the esteemed AN 32 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in support of the Mechanised Forces on Western Borders, a monumental step towards integration and synergy.

Moving A Step Closer To Theaterisation: Army

The Northern Command published images of an IAF AN-32 airdropping warfighting loads one after the other. The theatre commands are being planned to integrate the capabilities of the three services and ensure the best use of their resources. Notably, earlier in 2021, India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, Late Gen Bipin Rawat, directed all three services to conduct independent studies on the theaterisation plan for its adoption.
