According to the statement, three Indian Air Force Rafale fighter planes will take part in the Bastille Day flypast over the Champs Elysees in Paris, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the guest of honour. The traditional French military parade occurs in Paris on July 14 during Bastille Day. PM Modi’s visit will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the “strategic partnership” between France and India.

Indian Contingent at French Bastille Day

Earlier, it was announced that the Indian Air Force will participate in the event’s flypast with fighter aircraft. The Indian military contingent will also march in the Bastille Day parade. PM Modi will be the Guest of Honour on France’s National Day, July 14, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to an official statement released by the Indian Embassy in France, the Prime Minister’s visit is expected to usher in the next phase of the India-France Strategic Partnership by setting new and ambitious goals for our strategic, cultural, scientific, academic, and economic cooperation, including in a wide range of industries.

India and France uphold the ideals and tenets of the United Nations Charter, which serve as the foundation of their Indo-Pacific collaboration. They share a vision for peace and security, notably in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.
