Indian Air Force New Combat Uniform

  • Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari gave the first look at what is called a “digitally camouflaged” uniform for the ground staff of the air force. Garud Special Forces of the IAF wear camouflage uniforms like the army.
  • The Air Force’s new combat uniform is thought to have taken some ideas from the Army’s new digital camouflaged combat uniform, which came out earlier this year.
  • Most armies around the world have switched to digital camouflage patterns that are hard to spot. Now the designs on the battle fatigues are made up of squares instead of the organic patterns that were used before.
  • This will make the staff more comfortable and help them do their jobs better. The ergonomic fitting is a feature that helps both men and women on ground duty do their jobs as well as they can.
