INS Vikrant to Sail under Eastern Naval Command

The Eastern Naval Command is one of the three command-level units of the Indian Navy, having its headquarters in Visakhapatnam, a bustling naval hub on India’s east coast. It is responsible for overseeing all naval forces operating in the huge expanse of the Bay of Bengal and substantial areas of the Indian Ocean as a strategic command.

The Western Naval Command’s headquarters are in Mumbai, India’s maritime capital, and it is in charge of naval troops in the Arabian Sea and parts of the Indian Ocean on the western side.
