If you have cleared the written exam of SSB and before going to medical you are nervous and having doubts of whether you will be rejected because of your virginity, or what kind of medical checkups will be performed then this article is for you, here in this article we are going to discuss the medical tests and whether there will be any extra examination which will be performed on women? Or what will be the reasons which cause the rejection of the candidate

Medical after SSB interview is of total 5 Days process in which the given below checkups are performed

Blood and urine test, chest
X-ray and ultrasound
ENT Test (Ear, Nose, and throat test), eye checkup
Audiometry test ( to test your ability to hear sound)
Surgical test
- Which is of two types external surgical test which involves examination of knock knees, angle between shoulder and head, vision chest, sweating hand, flat foot, index finger, skin ,veins of legs, lumps in the body, piles etc, and internal surgical tests which involved
Eye and Dental Tests
- Candidate should have Minimum 14 Dental Points With Sound Teeth
- For Vision Standards
- A person should be able to read 6/6 in a Distant Vision Chart
- Colour Vision Standard should be CP-III
- Vision for Uncorrected without glass: 6/6, 6/9
- And for Corrected with glass: 6/6 (only for Hypermetropia)
- No limits to myopia
- Limits for Hypermetropia: +2.00 D
Medicinal Test (height, weight, chest, chest expansion, blood test, oxygen concentration)

Male candidates must be at least 157.5 centimetres tall to be considered. (Where 162.5 cms required for the Air Force and 157 cms for the Navy) and the minimum height for female candidates should be 152 cm. The minimum permissible height will be 5 cm less for Gorkhas and people from the Garhwali and Kumaon hill regions . Lakshadweep applicants have the minimum allowable height lowered by two centimetres. Nevertheless, the minimum height requirement for all entries is 148 cm.

The seeker should be free from wax( cognizance), DNS, Hydrocele/ Phimosis. Defective Color Vision, Gynecomastia, LASIK Surgery, Over Weight or under weight , Tonsillitis, Under Chest, Piles, Veri-Cocele, and Aids

Special Examinations for women

There are some special inspections that were only for women, these include check-up for External genitalia, Hernial orifices, the perineum, and urinary inconvenience ( it occurs when the control over the urinary sphincter is lost or weakened which results in the involuntary leakage of urine) Or genital prolapsed ( this happens when women’s pelvic organs drop out from their original position )

Apart from this, there will be a speculum examination only for married women

This special examination is carried out to examine any prolapsed or growth on cervix or vagina.

Ultrasound checkup of the lower tummy and pelvis is obligatory in all womanish campaigners during the original medical examination.

Single fibroid uterus three cm in fringe or Fibroid, a pair of in range, fifteen metric linear units in fringe or fibroid inflicting deformation of mucosa depression.
Congenital uterine anomalies ( malformation of the uterus), Except the arcuate uterus ( minor irregularity in the shape of your uterus )
Acute or chronic pelvic infection ( infection of the female reproductive organ )
Disorders of sexual differentiation
Any other condition which will be considered on the merits of each case by the gynecologist

Significant hirsutism, especially with a manly pattern of hair growth, will be a cause for rejection. The following conditions won’t be a cause for rejection: small fibroid uterus( 3 cm or lower in the periphery) without symptoms.

Candidates who have been declared unfit and would like to get a review or appeal the decision could opt to seek the advice of the President of the SMB (Special Medical Board). The president then guides the candidates through the appeals board and medical board procedures.
