Kerala’s Kollam District Has Become The 1^st Constitution Literate District In The Country.
The Campaign Has Been Launched To Educate The Residents Of the Kollam District Of Kerala About The Basics Of The Constitution.
Its Objective Is To Make Kollam District A Constitutionally Literate District.
This Achievement Is The Result Of A 7 month Long Constitutional Literacy Campaign Launched Jointly By Kollam District Panchayat, the District Planning Committee & Kerala Institute Of Local Administration To Create Awareness About The Laws Of The Country And The Rights Of Citizens
The Entire Population Of Kollam Above The Age Of 10 Years Was Informed About The Preamble Of The Constitution And The Historical Background Of The Document, Its Basic Principles, Fundamental Rights Of Citizens, And Legal Remedies.

Those Who Uproot Or Destroy The Plant Will Be Fined Rs 25,000 And Imprisoned For 3 Years.
Cultivation And Possession Of This Plant Is Not Allowed.
Neelakurinji Is A Shrub Found In The Western Ghats In The Shola Forests (Southern Part Of India).
Neelakurinji Flowers Are Violet-blue In Colour And Bloom Once In 12 Years.
It Has Also Given The Name Nilgiris To The Mountains Of The Region Owing To Its Blue Color.
It Is As An Endangered Species.
