Indian Army Participates in Multinational Exercise ‘Khaan Quest’ 2023 in Mongolia

The Multinational Peacekeeping Joint Exercise “Ex Khaan Quest 2023” has begun in Mongolia, with military contingents and observers from over 20 countries taking part. The Hon’ble President of Mongolia, Mr Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, inaugurated the Exercise in a ceremony held at the exercise site in Mongolia. Mongolian Armed Forces (MAF) and United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) are co-sponsoring the exercise.

Khaan Quest 2023

A unit from the GARHWAL RIFLES represents the Indian Army. The 14-day exercise aims to improve interoperability among participating nations, share expertise, and train uniformed troops for UN Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKO). The exercise will train participants for future UN Peacekeeping deployments, build peacekeeping capabilities, and boost military readiness. Command Post Exercises (CPX), Field Training Exercises (FTX), combat talks, lectures, and demonstrations are all part of the exercise.

The military exercise will improve defence cooperation between the Indian Army and participating countries, particularly with the Mongolian Armed Forces, and will strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
