PM Modi’s Trip To Egypt: Highlights & Key Takeaways

El-Sisi greeted Modi, who is on a two-day state visit to Egypt, where the two leaders will meet one-on-one. On Sunday, Modi also paid a visit to Cairo’s historic 11th-century Al-Hakim Mosque, which was restored with the assistance of India’s Dawoodi Bohra community. Later, in Cairo’s Heliopolis War Cemetery, he paid tribute to Indian soldiers who fought in Egypt and Palestine during World War I. This is India’s first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 26 years.
